'Going green' has been talked about for decades why hasn't business shifted to capitalize on this open market?

There are billions to be made in this INDUSTRY. It's a corrupt industry. If green was so great it would be affordable, but it's not. I live close to Greensburg, KS. It was destroyed by a tornado a year ago today. They decided to go green when they rebuilt, and now many people can't afford to move back to the town they call home, because going green is too damned expensive. Also if recycling was as important as people say it is then companies would pay to recycle plastics, paper, and gl like they do metal. They don't because it doesn't work.
