What can i do to not live with her?

my parents are in the middle of a divorce.... my mom tell me that i have to live wih her, or have to switch between my mom and my dad. can anyone tell me if there is a way that i don have to live with her... or if there is a law that says i can choose... the thing is i dont fell safe with my mom... things in my family have reach the worst it could possibly get. please i am asking for help... can someone please tell me if i have any options?
